Monthly Information Meetings Held the 3rd Thursday of each month at Franklin Covenant Church, from 7:30 - 9:00 pm. This is a support group meeting and children are welcome. Please bring something for them to play with quietly. Non-members are also welcome. Meet other Homeschooling parents, discus your worries or successes, learn what is happening in the Homeschooling world, set up activities for children and glean from others. Web Site Updates News is placed on the MCHE site. This web site and our meetings are the primary vehicle for exchanging information on field trips, regional activities, local activities and general Homeschool information. If you have any information that you would like to share with the group please contact MCHE.info . Articles, poetry, book reviews, movie reviews, anything by a child is very welcome. Testing At this time MCHE owns test books that members may use and return. No writing in the books please. If you do not wish to use the test books provided, you can find sites that sell test books on the NC Law link. Group Activities Art Classes Have not started yet. Field Trips Field trips and local activities are set up by an individual and then opened to the group. As a group remember your actions reflect Homeschool families across the nation. Before you leave for the outing please take the time to explain to the children how they are to behave and please take action if instructions are not followed. Small Groups or Co-ops Are up to the individuals who wish to set up such groups. This could be a play group or a learning group. MCHE provides a place for you to fellowship and find others that share your interest. We hope you will keep them open to all who may wish to participate. After all we are here to support one another. Children's Play and Craft Day Provides a safe place for your child/children to meet other children and have fun. Please stay with your child when at these activities. We pack a lunch and drink and try to meet once a month to have a craft, need parents for this craft idea to work. Some crafts may require a small fee.
